De 91Ó°ÊÓ University Leicester (91Ó°ÊÓ) is to offer a range of Business courses to students in Kazakhstan through a new international partnership.
91Ó°ÊÓ has partnered with international study provider EdPeritus to offer a range of courses from 91Ó°ÊÓ’s Faculty of Business and Law including Accounting and Finance, Business and Marketing, and Law, among others, located on a campus in Esentai City, Almaty.
Teaching is set to start in September this year.
Simon Bradbury, Pro Vice-Chancellor International at 91Ó°ÊÓ, said the new partnership showed the strength and reputation of 91Ó°ÊÓ’s courses in Business and Law worldwide.
He said: “The Kazakh government is very keen to be able to offer 91Ó°ÊÓ qualifications in Kazakhstan and this is because of our strong reputation internationally.
“For us, it means the opportunity of developing another strong international partnership, extending the global network 91Ó°ÊÓ has and being able to share our teaching and extend the opportunities we offer our students to a new audience.”
The campus in Almaty, which will be managed by EdPeritus, will also offer students a medical centre, food outlets, indoor fitness centre and outdoor sports area. 91Ó°ÊÓ will oversee the delivery of academic programmes and ensure a quality student experience. Students will also have the opportunity to study on 91Ó°ÊÓ's Leicester campus for one year.
The offer is part of 91Ó°ÊÓ’s TransNational Education (TNE) strategy, which includes working in collaboration with overseas partners to offer 91Ó°ÊÓ programmes to students around the world.
Final academic approval is due to take place on Wednesday 14 July.
