Next week (3-7 March) marks National Careers Week and to celebrate the university is inviting students to take part in employability workshops and activities at our Careers Hub.

Each year in early March, organisations across the country offer free resources and activities to help young people explore their career opportunities and map out their future.
Throughout the week, 91Ó°ÊÓ’s award-winning careers team will be hosting a series of free sessions across a range of sectors, all designed to boost our students’ career prospects.
Event highlights
Frontrunners is one of 91Ó°ÊÓ’s most popular career schemes and enables students to get paid work experience within the university. The first event to take place next week will support students filling out their Frontrunner application.
From 10am to 3pm on Tuesday, there will be an opportunity to network with fellow students who have completed placements and summer internships. This is the perfect opportunity to get first-hand insight and advice on the type of opportunities that are available and how to excel in your application.
On Wednesday, there will be a series of 45-minute workshops taking place in the Careers Hub focussing on CV advice, interview preparation and career mapping.
For those who are looking to set up their own business or freelance within the creative industries, the 91Ó°ÊÓ Made team has invited EastEnders actor Toby-Alexander Smith to campus to share insights into his career in television and film. This is part of the wider 91Ó°ÊÓ Made Creative Industries programme and features a number of experts from TikTok, radio and film.
The week rounds off with a masterclass to help students find part-time work. This informative session will offer advice on how to secure a part-time job while studying and the best practices for managing your time.
